Event* – COG Toronto AGM and Starting the Organic Garden

A panel presentation on starting an organic garden.  Bob Kennedy will speak on Organic Gardening: It’s Not Just a Garden – It’s an Ecosystem and Lesley Spencer will speak on Companion Gardening – the opposite of love is …?  COG member, Bob Kennedy, is a long-time gardener and supporter of organic growing.

Through self-education and experience, Bob has an understanding of the details of organic growing.  Like most growers, he appreciates that there is always more to learn, but is willing to share what he knows.  Bob presents information clearly and can help us see why organic gardening is important.

Lesley Spencer, Master Gardener (IT), is VP of the Beach Garden Society.  Her gardening and design company “Your Secret Gardener” offers people the garden they dreamed of (and didn’t feel able to create by themselves).

“Committed to being as organic as possible, and continuing to explore companion plantings that provide both control and beneficial partnerships, I believe that we have only just begun to scratch the surface of what’s possible in this area, and that our knowledge will both increase and change as our climate shifts.”
