Dear fellow children of Canada:

My name is Rachel. I’m 12 years old, and I have an urgent message to share with you about the dangers of Genetically Modified foods – GMOs.

On October 16^th at 1:00 pm, I’m participating in a public speaking presentation to demand GMO labels on foods that our parents buy for us, and we innocently consume every day.

I’ll be one of the first speakers, around 1:00 pm.

GMO – Right2Know Rally!

Location: 612 Markham St. (Beit Zatoun), Toronto (at Bathurst subway)

Canadian Organic Growers Toronto and Ruth’s Foods are holding a rally against genetically modified organisms (GMOs):  GMO – Your Right2Know.

As part of Organic Week, October 15-22 and non-GMO month, and in support of the Right2Know March from New York to Washington, D.C., we will ‘live stream’ Guest Speakers from the conclusion of the march in Washington.

Monsanto and other biotech companies have been foisting their genetic engineering technology on an unsuspecting and unwilling public. Dangers to the environment and our health are clear.

Despite numerous polls and protests clearly showing the public’s support of at least labeling food that contains GMOs, these companies and the politicians that support them need to be told again and again what we want.

Let’s make this a North America-wide shout out against GMOs and a demand for labeling so people can make the choice for good, safe food.

There will be local speakers, a new film on GMOs and music.
